Photography makes me so happy!
It’s always so welcome when the green finally emerges from the ground, and soon after that color begins to pop. It’s incredible really. From nothing but a stick, first leaves form and then buds develop, and they become little tiny miracles of texture, hue and fragrance.

This is also one of those times when we’re reminded as gardeners, and as dwellers on earth, that nothing is a sure thing. Take nothing for granted. I write this on April 10th, the temperature at this moment is 33 degrees.
It’s a crap shoot whether tomorrow, any of my babies will still be there, or whether they have turned to mush in the night! In the morning, the grass may sparkle with frost, and that will be beautiful too. So for tonight, I share my photos of the season we’ve had so far. Mild, fruitful and lovely.

These are the type images I have cherished my cameras for, in the last 40 years. Fine art images, they’re called now.
Before they were just called my life, and that’s what I call them still. This is my life, and one of the things that makes me truly happy!
See you in the morning!

Love these nature photos. Those are some of my favorites to take.
Love it! All of that is done down this far south. Heat got our daffodils after less than a week. Now it’s cold again. You are right … we have to enjoy the gifts for as long as they are given.
